Who qualifies for a grant?

Business Owners and Commercial Property Owners who have buildings on or near Main Street between Tom Watson Way and E Hill Street. Priority will be given to those on Main Street and Railroad Street.

What is the maximum and minimum amounts that will be awarded?

There is not a maximum or minimum. Our desire is to fund several projects.

How much money is available?

We have a total of $50,000 available. We hope to do additional grants in the future.

Does applying for the grant guarentee that I will recieve grant money?

No. The need far exceeds $50,000. The DDA will meet in March to decide which projects to fund. We are working to try to secure additional funding for future grants.

February 28th, 2025

When will I know if I recieved a grant?

You will know by the end of April.

Where are the funds for this grant coming from?

The DDA received $50,000 from Georgia Power to make downtown improvements. In response, we came up with this grant program.
